WOW! Play in Peace Day was a smashing success!! Everyone was definitely “being the spark” that day.   

I will never forget that march with almost 1,500 people and the way that everyone put aside any sense or need for judgment - simply embracing the moment and each other with open hearts and open minds. It was truly amazing and a glimpse of what we are capable of when given the opportunity. 

 

To quote Olivia (former McCarver 5^th grader) “It felt like we were closing the door on the past, and opening a window to the future”

I want to take a moment to thank you all for being part of this incredible effort. So many of you were overwhelmingly supportive and generous. We can not offer enough gratitude for all that you did. This community has been transformed in more ways than we can possibly imagine.
