Wright Park
Wright Park is a 20 acre park in Tacoma's historic Stadium District. It was donated to the citizens of Tacoma in 1886 by Charles Wright, and has been a favorite destination since. The Greater Metro Parks Foundation adopted the Wright Park Play and Sprayground as part of the Zina Linnik Project. It will include the following:
- Sprayground - 3,000 sq ft water park feature
- Playground equipment for ages 2-5 and 5-12
- 9,600 sq ft concrete plaza/amphitheater for community gatherings
- Renovation of an existing building to house the Youth Summer Playground Program room for arts, educational, health and recreational programming at nearby Wright Park
- New landscaping, picnic tables, benches, and signage
